Saturday - 30th - VOLUNTEER - Habitat for Humanity RESTORE.
Help out stocking shelves, cleaning up and at register. Sign-up:
ASYMCA Bldg 3437 Naval Base San Diego. Depart: All bases
approx 0730. Cost: Free. Includes transportation. ALSO ON
SATURDAY OCTOBER 21.

OCTOBER EVENTS

Wednesday - 4th. VOLUNTEER! San Diego High. Each
Wednesday. Tutor High School students. Cost: Free -
includes transportation. Sign-up: ASYMCA Bldg 3437.
Naval Base S.D. Between Piers 12 & 13. Depart: All
bases approx. 1700. Return: 2000-2030. Call for
exact time & location. (Nothing on November 11).

Sunday - 8th- VOLUNTEER. USS Benfold's Halloween
Party. Cost: Free, includes transportation. Where: USO.
Sign-up: ASYMCA Bldg 3437, NavalBase (see above).

Saturday - 21st - VOLUNTEER - AZTECS vs USAF.
Help with Tailgate Party. Cost: Free - includes

Saturday - 28th- VOLUNTEER. Los Penasquitoss Canyon
Preserve. Help clean-up the canyon.Cost: Free. Includes

POLINSKY CHILDREN'S CENTER - Volunteers needed. Help these teens
who have been removed from their homes for their protection, to feel
special. Cost: Free - includes transportation. Be ready to play basketball!
The Center is at 9400 Ruffin Court, Kearny Mesa.

OPERATION LIBERTY CALL!!

Friday - September 29 - 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Jimmy Love's in
the Gaslamp Quarter, Downtown San Diego; and Sunday October 1
- at Imperial Beach Pier Plaza. Cost: Coupon books for discounts for
many attractions, services, and area restaurants are available for
$3.00 each at the San Diego ASYMCA 32nd Street Naval Base

Event Description: Participating businesses in the Gaslamp Quarter,
Seaport Village, Chula Vista, Imperial Beach and Santee will show
their appreciation by offering special discounts to military members
and their families who have purchased the event coupon book. The
first 500 participants who visit event headquarters the day of the
events will receive an official 'Operation Liberty Call' t-shirt.
Participants can visit event headquarters to enter the drawing for
some great prizes. Coupon books will be sold on local bases through
senior enlisted representatives and the Armed Services YMCA,
32nd Street Office. On September 29 and October 1, the day of
the events, books can be purchased at the Operation Liberty Call
Headquarters. For the Gaslamp Quarter the location is Jimmy Love's
on the corner of 5th Avenue and G Street. Imperial Beach head-
quarters is the Imperial Beach Pier Plaza.
